Owned by the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ), the Eaglecrest Ski Area charges user fees and receives funds from CBJ for basic operating costs. The Eaglecrest Foundation strives to augment these funds for two specific purposes:
1. To allow access to the ski area for underprivileged youth who cannot afford to ski and snowboard.
2. To fund additional projects not subsidized by the CBJ. Often, there is a need for other capital improvements that cannot be financed by the CBJ due to limited resources. Eaglecrest Foundation seeks to support these advancements through community involvement and donations.
Through donations, the Eaglecrest Foundation is able to share the magic of skiing and snowboarding with underprivileged youth athletes. We welcome all levels of contribution, whether it’s a one-time gift or recurring donation. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by IRS regulations. For more information, please call 907-790-2000 ext 221.
What will my donation go towards?
Though the City and Borough of Juneau is very generous in providing basic operating funds for the Eaglecrest Ski Area, there is often a need for further support in order to expand our program offerings. Community contributions will provide underprivileged Juneau youth admission to the ski area, along with access to snow equipment, bus transportation, lift tickets, rentals, and ski and snowboard lessons.
